World's Steepest Incline Railway

The incline railway at the Royal Gorge is the world's steepest incline railway. Completed in 1931, the railway runs at a 45 degree angle for 1,550 feet (473 meters).

Fenelon Place Elevator

Also known as the Fourth Street Elevator, this is the world's shortest, steepest scenic railway. Erected in 1892, the lift is 296 feet long and rises 189 feet from Fourth Street to Fenelon Place in Dubuque.
